The World of Ice & Fire PDF

The World of Ice and Fire is a partner book for George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire dream arrangement. Composed by Martin, Elio M. García Jr. also, Linda Antonsson, it was distributed by Bantam on October 28, 2014. The 326-page volume is a completely delineated "history abstract" of Martin's anecdotal Westeros, composed from the point of view of an in-world "Master" and including recently composed material, family trees, and broad maps and artwork.

Elio García and Linda Antonsson head the A Song of Ice and Fire fansite Westeros.org. George R. R. Martin enrolled them in 2008 to help with the venture, which at the time he accepted would be done "in only a few years." García is a Martin "superfan" whom the creator and HBO have counseled on points of interest beforehand settled by Martin in the series. Addressing correlations of The World of Ice and Fire to J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion, Martin cleared up that while his book gives a fundamental review of the numerous ranges of his anecdotal world and their histories, he wants to some time or another distribute a more broad volume concentrating essentially on the Targaryens, which he facetiously named The GRRMarillion. As gets ready for a possible second partner book turned out to be more cemented, Martin said that it would all the more formally be titled "Fire and Blood" since it gives extended detail on the rule of each Targaryen king.
